   It never fails to surprise me; as soon as someone finds out you are in the military they let you know that they almost joined or wish they had, or let you know about their friend in SF.

   My answer was that I knew someone in BUPERs that could cut a waiver for them, and that person owed me a big favor. Say the word, and I could have them embarked on a warship en route to the Indian Ocean in no more than 120 days — guaranteed. After that I quickly had room for someone else to sit next to me.
