Actually, you can. You just chose to put yourself in a position where you hadn’t the means. As KHOU in Houston tells us, the man was robbed at gunpoint until two strangers passing by chased the perp, exchanging fire with him, leading to his apprehension.
As Exhibit A of what an Obama-Holder-Bloomberg world view would look like practically, it is summed up in the victim’s rather addled personal philosophy:
“I don’t believe in guns,” said Dorsey. “I don’t own a gun. I’m totally at the mercy of my saviors. They obviously sent two angels to help me. These people protected me when I couldn’t protect myself.”
The gun grabbers want those “saviors” to be the government. Remember, when seconds count, the police are just minutes away. Being at the “mercy” of the government saviors when there is a disagreement is just an added bonus for those saviors…
Private gun ownership protects another citizen from harm. Many thousands of these stories for every Sandy Hook.
Another great item in the story?
After the robber had been shot, police say he jumped over a fence and was attacked by a German Shepherd. That attack prevented him from getting away.
Where I live, if you manage to survive the dog, there is still that well-armed owner.
Denny Crane approved.
