Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff: If Women Can’t Meet Military Standard, Pentagon Will Ask ‘Does It Really Have to Be That High?’ | The Gateway Pundit

Even the military is changing its rules to make sure that everybody feels good inside and nobody’s feelings are hurt.

Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters this week that now that women will be serving on the front lines that the military may have to look at requirements and ask,

“Does it really have to be that high?”

One fight. One standard. Just… not a very high standard.

General Dempsey forgets the original standards were written in blood.

Well, you KNOW my pov on all of this XBrad–both from the combat effectiveness part and the unit moral/chemistry/cohesion part as well.. Fred Reed (Fred on Everything) has cobbled together some excellent statistics (from the DOD itself, mainly on physical standards/task completion here

Wow. Nobody saw that coming. A senior Officer selling out combat effectiveness to placate his political masters and far-left special interest groups?

Would not follow him across the street. He is not to be trusted, with his rank, his responsibilities, or with the Constitution. He is a charlatan of an Officer and a disgrace to his uniform.

That guy is the worst Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, evah.

Resign Marty. Do it, do it now!

My take on this whole mess is HERE and HERE.

  4. “What does it matter if women cannot hump 25 miles in an 85 lb load out carrying a case of MRE’s and a five gallon jerry can of water?”
Well, because some pvt who is a man will have to carry part of her load out and the water/rations as well as his own basic load and his share of the water and rations.
It doesn’t matter to the politicized Generals nor their civilian leaders because they will never be in that position and they will not suffer from the failure of this asinine policy.
It’s kinda like saying they are taking reality and changing that reality for their own version of reality where Gidget can hump a load, carry supplies and still stay awake that night on an LP way out beyond the wire and all by her lonesome win the floggin’ war.
War is not Hollywood or wishful thinking, in real life Ripley would have been killed by the mama alien.
