Space 1999. Martin Landau in a bisexual pajama party. GAWD that one was awful.

  2. I dunno. The ships were awesome. The Eagle is still one of the most popular SF models, if you can find one. Pity they don’t re-issue that the way most of the old Aurora stuff has been.

IIRC, Gerry Anderson (UFO, Thunderbirds!, etc) always had the cheesiest music on the planet in his series.

Speaking of vehicles, the Stingray and SkyDiver were pretty cool as well.

The production values were very high. The look of the show was plausable. I’m just surprised it’s a cult classic these days.

The plots and stories were junk, IMHO. I could not get into the story because of it’s science flaws. For some reason I could not suspend belief like I could for Star Trek or Star Wars. Maybe it was the acting or writing.
    YMMV.

  4. I watched a couple episodes and then quit. Never cared for the program.

  5. I had the Eagle 1 toy circa 1976. The command module and engine module separated from the central portion to make the smaller scout ship. Pretty sweet toy at age 9.
